The staff and administration of XF,
NOTING the use of disruptive signatures by members including large and/or animated images;
FURTHER NOTING the deliberate design of these signatures for malicious purposes against other members;
CONCERNED by the effect on page layout and performance caused by these signatures;
WORRIED by the effect on usability these signatures have on users with small or low resolution screens;
BELIEVING guidelines and restrictions should be put in place regarding signature dimensions and content;
HEREBY
1. RESTRICTS all image-based signatures to a maximum size of 800 by 200 pixels;
2. LIMITS all text-based, multi-image-based or combined signatures to an equivalent 200 pixels in height in a browser window 1024 pixels wide;
3. BANS the use of [youtube] tags in signatures;
4. AUTHORIZES staff to modify violating signatures and administer discipline at their discretion.
