Ever since the Christmas break of last school year, the time to be was the early hours of a new day. iSketch participation was met with quiet excitement, and there was never a dull moment to be had as peers would fight each other for the glorious honour of being the last to go to sleep. Life was good.
Once March Break hit, we were somehow introduced to the flesh bag known as Andrea Warming. Her wide load proved amusing all the way to the end, and her participation in nightly events added another (perhaps undesireable) factor to the anti-meridiem hours, keeping the scene fresh.
Fast forward to the summer, and the scene was still strong. Drama powered the attractiveness of summer's night life, with the tease of a Yuri Playhouse graphical novel, the resulting sporadic hate from Michael regarding my existence, dramatic recordings of various soldiers' pasts, the complete abuse of Ventrilo servers, amongst other noteworthy things. Different timekillers came and (quickly) went, including War Rock, Armagetron, Sauerbraten, and various Flash materials. Summer always threw something different each night. The day hours could not compare, because I barely saw them.
Summer did eventually end, but the nights did not. Weekends became the new timeframe for inverted sleeping patterns. It started off well, providing such great things like the unveiling of Annie's true girth and failure, Midnight Gymnastics, Love Death 2, and other hilarious existences. However, the steam was wearing out.
At this point, staying up past 1 AM offers nothing of interest anymore. iSketch has lost its momentum, and other games are very short-lived. Conversations have generally found themselves idling while the participants are jerking it. It's a dead world.
That said, 2 AM is still the only time I can fap all over the place.

And now my thumb is tired.
