Below is a list of items of interest in the computer engineering room, along with their dimensions, weight, location and additional notes about them.
IBM Model M Buckling Spring Keyboard
Lifted
Size: A fair bit larger than the average keyboard
Weight: Quite heavy (the inside is solid steel)
Location: Between tow computers on the window side; stacked amongst other keyboards in one of the back shelves
The IBM Model Ms are rather awkward things to lift, given their large and heavy design. Discrete lifting would be a difficult but rewarding task. One keyboard is verified as functional, and the other one is assumed so.
IBM ThinkPad 760ED, 765D and 765L
Many Remain
Size: Rather thick, sporting a 12.1" or 13" LCD
Weight: Fairly heavy
Location: Stacked in the back shelves
The IBM ThinkPads are probably the easiest of the significant items to lift. They're pretty much very heavy binders. All ThinkPads are assumed faulty. Power adapters are located in the rightmost shelf.
Apple Macintosh Classic
One Remains
Size: Similar to a small TV set, but much taller
Weight: Probably very heavy
Location: Bottom of one of the back shelves
Lifting the Macintosh Classic II would pretty much be impossible, but it is there. It is not known if it is operational or not.
ATI Rage AGP Graphics Card
Several Available
Size: A bit larger than a PCI dial-up modem
Weight: Very light
Location: Housed in many of the dead computers laying around
The most difficult part of lifting one of these would be removing it from the host. You will need a screwdriver to do so. Transportation would be very easy, as long as care is paid not to snap it. All are assumed functional.
SDRAM Modules
Many available
Size: Small and long
Weight: Very light
Location: Housed in some of the dead computers laying around; piled in a small container in one of the back shelves
These are very easy items to lift. All are assumed operational.
