“We used to do it all by hand,” says our tester, “and we used to wonder whether this testing was for testing the notebooks, or for testing our arms”. Before these cool-looking, customized-for-ThinkPad dropping machines came along, all the testing was done by hand. But simply throwing PCs wouldn’t land them flat on the ground. After a while, we took on the “puppet approach” and guided the fall with numerous strings attached to the ThinkPad. Those were the good old days, with everyone holding the strings and calling out “Now! … Release the wire!” I like Lenovo's blogs.

jesus it is, put on some fucking vivaldi and put that in the AGOO and we'll make millions
this is really a depressing look into how flimsy computers are compared to the think pad, I mean some people flip it down to fast and they start worrying if the hinge has broken....that should not be a problem

Man, I was using this guy's HP Pavilion, and the damn hinge cracked like four times while I was opening it. I've been spoiled by silky-smooth magnesium.

Lenovo really hates touchpads. That Core 2 Duo SU9400 better be able to drive me to school too.
