Presumably his professor will.
That seems pretty goddamn stupid, it's like the professor was too cheap to buy a book or decide what to read themselves, and opted to read their student's writings over the holidays or something.

Graphic Design at Seneca College (2010–2013)I wanted an excuse to make tables on here, and I guess post about what I've been doing the past 3 years. Additional notes: - Semester 6 is split into two terms because one of which is reserved for Field Placement/Internship and the other for final classes
- I spent my Field Placement/Internship at Robert Kennedy Publishing in Mississauga, before it went bankrupt and bought out mid-2013 owned. I stared at high resolution photos of ripped women and men 8 hours a day, 3 days a week in my own little cubicle.
- I started working a minimum waged job when I started college.
- I worked an 8-hour shift every Friday in Semesters 1 and 2.
- I worked an 8-hour shift every Friday in Semester 3.
- I worked a 5-hour shift every Wednesday after class and an 8-hour shift every Friday in Semester 4.
- I worked an 8-hour shift every Monday and Friday in Semesters 5 and 6.

typography in itself covers a fairly large spectrum of info, but I guess the hardest thing to delve into is typeface design because you really need a solid understanding of typeface anatomy, font history, the differences between print and digital type, and exact measurements in picas. designing any typeface is a fucking pain in the ass regardless of which, lmao. stuff like rules/conventions of typography, proper typesetting, classifications, and all that jazz isn't difficult to grasp. I think it's something that comes naturally if you work with type frequently and invest the time into making it not look like shit pretty much. actually having typography textbooks at your disposal and speaking to real typographers that have worked at linotype, monotype, etc. are greatly beneficial too. in my case, I'm super autistic when it comes to typography and usually spend way too much time typesetting properly and making it look sexy—I'm a weirdo and care more about type than imagery 95% of the time. I'm literally one of the only people in my graduating class that follows proper typographic conventions—everybody else just clicks, types, changes the weight and tracking, and sometimes remembers to kern (usually people need to point it out before they remember to do it). I'm a complete amateur at typeface design though. typography is such a fundamental skill every graphic designer should have a solid understanding of, and if they don't know jack shit about it, they shouldn't be labelled as that job title at all quite frankly. any gorilla can download a cracked adobe creative suite, watch a couple shitty youtube tutorials, and then call themselves a "graphic designer" at the end of the day while beating off. quite obviously, there's a massive differentiation between the aforementioned gorillas and the real niggas that actually know what the fuck they're doing because they either went to school or are autistic enough to delve deeply into the field. I guess while on the topic, if you don't know what kerning exactly is, or you want to try it yourself, this site is neat: type.method.ac/the grading is lenient, but I guess it gives you a better idea on how accurately you can perceive spacing. I'm so fucking autistic that I scored a perfect 100 on my first try back when I found this, lmfao.
