For some reason, I imagine an airport hangar.

Please note that due to a variety of circumstances patients may be waiting for several weeks or months for their initial consultation to be scheduled with one of our physicians. Ophthalmic Consultant Centres and the Canadian Centre for Advanced Eye Therapeutics cannot accept any responsibility for their care during this period. We are not responsible until the patient has actually been seen. As their referring professional, you remain responsible for their care until the patient is seen by one of the physicians. From a fax paper my Optometrist gave me, referring me to this special doctor and eye centre. Doubt it has anything to do with my monitor considering that there are people who sit in front of a monitor much longer than I do and their eyes are perfectly fine. The brightness of my old and new monitors are pretty much the same.

Either way, I highly doubt the cause of my eye condition has anything to do with my computer monitor.
My optometrist mentioned in particular that my eye condition is usually passed down through genetics. She questioned my Mom and asked whether or not anyone from either side of my family had the same eye condition and my Mom wasn't sure.
There have been two times in my life where I've experienced excruciating pain in my eyes. The only way I can describe it is that it feels exactly as if someone were to firmly grab both eyeballs and started squeezing them as hard as they could. IIRC my vision blurs for a few seconds and then the pain would instantly kick in. If I rested my eyes for a couple of hours or simply fell asleep, the pain would disappear. But yeah, since then I knew something was wrong with my eyes but I eventually forgot about it.

Are you sure it's not a tumor? Take a picture of yourself from a short distance with flash or something and see if your eyes look like cat eyes

Wouldn't doubt the possibility of having a tumor though if I did have one I'm pretty sure I'd frequently have those eye attacks.
Pretty much all of these questions will be answered once I see my doctor in November.

So I went to that special eye doctor today. Quoting Dr. David Yan here: Nothing seems suspicious about your Glaucoma. It seems that this is another biological variation of "normal". Well just to be sure, I'll see you again for a second appointment with me in 3 months to see if there are any changes. So pretty much my optometrist was worried over nothing.
