If I had a whole family to take care of, maybe I would get one of these. However this added with the fact that the screen is only 1024x768 resolution is going to make me not want to get one until a 2nd or 3rd generation version comes out with at least 720p support.

the BEST web experiance? my netbook is only an inch shorter monitor wise, so the only difference between that and the ipad is that i can TOUCH my screen now....sdoosfnsdifksof

Adobe's developed working versions of Flash for iPhone OS but Apple deliberately bars them from integrating it into Safari or even making an App Store app. HTC Andoid phones have Flash, and other smartphones will be getting it shortly. It's not a hardware limitation by any means.
