I was looking at that thread and it's some 70 pages and started wondering what exactly the point of it was. I mean it's nice to tell other people what you're listening to at the moment, but there was actually very little...dialogue about the music happening. At all.
I would think that we should actually comment on each other's choice of music (constructively or otherwise) instead of just posting about it and ignoring the person above us.
I think that we should have a revival of the thread with a bigger emphasis on community interaction and discussion of music. What does everyone else think?

I think this thread is unnecessary and you could have just made the new thread. Alternatively, I guess we could make a subboard where people could make a thread for each piece of music, and then people could freely comment on them.

That works too, yeah. I just don't like the structure of the other thread, I mean we can keep it but chances are other people won't be giving the music as serious consideration as the poster would like.
I think I am leaning toward the latter idea though, a subboard where we just post what we're listening to and people comment on it. People will need to actually comment on music that is posted though.
Any thoughts? (Other than Michael)

Even though I'm Michael, I'm going to comment. I think a board with individual posts for each piece would work best, as people can comment on things long after they've been posted, while in one thread as soon as something new is posted, that kind of ends the discussion of anything previously posted. You'd also have to have some sort of restriction on how often (either time or number of comments) new music can be posted, which probably wouldn't work too well. With separate posts, people can post as much as they want, and other people can comment on things as much as they want for however long they want.

I wanted to give OTHER PEOPLE some say, but you basically covered everything there. I agree that's probably the best model and we should get it established whenever we can. Does Tyler have to do it I guess?

Yes, I'll get Tyler to put it in with the upcoming board re-arrangement. I'd do it myself, but for some reason I'm severely lacking in powers (I can only do moderation stuff (edit/move/sticky/lock posts), ban people, modify profiles, and mass-PM/e-mail).

Excellent. What does being considered entail?

It means we're thinking about it.
