No, no, no. Canada doesn't get involved with outside affairs. We maintain the peace and stfu.
Can't tell if sarcastic, stuck in the 90's or retarded.
Canada's long since lost the peacekeeping reputation we once had, largely in part thanks to this guy. We've been kicked out of the UN Security Council; we've been the most violent of the countries involved in Afghanistan, including illegal torture and other war crimes; we're purchasing those stupid F-35 multirole fighters which are completely overkill for any sort of defence or "peacekeeping" mission, among a bunch of other things. We don't want to admit that though.
The F-35 looks amazing on paper, but in reality it's actually a pretty terrible plane. As a multirole fighter, it attempts to do everything at the same time and pretty much fails at all of them. A lot of compromises are made to give it its VTOL and limited stealth ability. Maneuverability is shit, payload is shit, range is shit (very important for Canada's airforce needs), we don't need VTOL ability since we don't even have aircraft carriers, and even the stealth abilities are only effective at longer range. Once close enough, an Su-37 or lesser fighter could easily rip the shit out of this abomination. The F-35 is a disgrace to modern aircraft design, and is completely useless for Canada's needs.
