i've wasted so many hundreds of dollars on keyboards that I find comfortable for using all day long over the years. and I still barely break 100wpm most of the time.

I don't understand expensive keyboards. Until last August, I used some old Compaq keyboard that my family got with our original computer in 1997. I recently switched to some $9 Microsoft keyboard that I bought because I needed one that could plug into a USB port.

i just like my fingers to have something nice to type on. i'm not some kind of dexterous superstar like wrona tearing up typeracer nightly, i just use my computer for so long it pisses me off if it's not perfectly comfortable

I am always down for having a TypeRacer contest. I will organize one if we have enough people interested. I don't understand expensive keyboards. Until last August, I used some old Compaq keyboard that my family got with our original computer in 1997. I recently switched to some $9 Microsoft keyboard that I bought because I needed one that could plug into a USB port. How cute! Times sure have changed. I now have a good mechanical keyboard. ^_^ |

I have this piece of shit  It works well enough and the RGB backlight is nice but the typeface is too edgy and as a buckling spring fan I'd prefer switches with more substance to them than the Razer green. I'd just use my Model M but it has terrible rollover issues. |

I think it's a recent addition. I know they added in a bunch of quotes in September, and I'm pretty sure the selection of quotes hadn't been updated otherwise since the early days.
