the new proboards is also sort of optimized for mobile devices now. I say sort of because when you're browsing from a phone, you only see the forum boards but not the latest posted in threads or who posted in them. no one has the fucking time to tap every single board and see if the top thread was posted in recently, and it took me a good 5 minutes to see the recent threads option at the very bottom, when before I'd just press the "new topics" option at the top navigation bar. mind you, why the fuck would anyone browse a forum in public ON THEIR PHONE. and when viewing this page, it keeps nagging me to get the free proboards app and I don't fucking give a shit.
yeah this layout is awful.

Kalsi's point is still valid and goes back to that rant I made before. Even XF has now been dumbed the fuck down in the name of convergence. Why do people keep thinking shit designed for phones and tablets are perfectly acceptable on a real goddamn computer?

ok i actually tried to log in on my phone and this is awful. it's always asked if you want to dl the shitty app but now it literally has some retarded popup telling me my phone has viruses and to download some shit my phone immediately warns me is trying to harm it.
if anything it's actually become better for use on a computer. the button at the top lets you navigate to any board easily, none of the functionality has been lost as far as I can tell and it's just added a few new features at the cost of looking kind of retarded. I've already gotten used to the new look but holy shit this is so much harder to browse with a phone. it's like proboards is FORCING you to buy their shitty app.
well this is shit i don't think i ever want to browse xf on a phone again. browsing on the computer is fine though. my avatar is bigger
although if you request the desktop site, it's a lot better. the mobile site is horrible.
