steely dan will always have a special place in my heart, but they always hit me as a "dad rock" band. one of those bands that comes on randomly when you put the oldies stations on.

Steely Dan is absolutely dad rock, but they're great nonetheless. The later albums are meticulous as fuck.

funny story about my weed man, when the guy came to my house to sell me a half o, i told him about the Shia video. this guy actually just started freaking out and screaming about "holy shit dude I can't believe i'm in your living room" and asked to shake my hand and shit lol. the guy has good taste in music tho, he sent me this classic.
also it's unrelated but this kid is gonna cause SO many teenaged pregnancies when his balls drop
