I am interested in losing weight because I am unhealthy. I'd like to have a thread where I/others can keep track of their progress, give each other tips, etc. besides Moham(m?)ed who I believe to be relatively "fit", I don't know how other forumees keep up with their health, if at all. I'll start posting in here (and XF in general) but I hope to see others participate, too.

I plan on hitting up the gym tomorrow. I've slacked off too much the last couple weeks, gonna do a 20 minute run, and an hour long workout. Last I checked I could bench 100, gonna see if I can still do that.

Only for a month, but I was going to the gym 3x a week up until 3 weeks ago. Need to start going, especially since I'm paying £50/mo for it.

half of what i do to stay fit is just get on the ground and do 60 pushups multiple times a day because i'm usually too lazy to go to the gym. if i do go i can benchpress about 150lbs, deadlift about that much too. my squats are ass because my knees are messed up from multiple surgeries. the thing people don't realize about fitness is just 90% of it is what you eat, only 10% is actually exercise. if you eat a leaner diet with more vegetables (consistently, not just some periodic change), you will lose fat. naturally though you need to lift and exercise the muscles if you want to stimulate growth, that's why a lot of fat guys who lose weight just feel disappointed when they lose a lot of fat and are basically just skinny guys with sagging skin at that point.

I willingly went to the gym once with dan and varun two weeks ago and did a full body workout. body was sore as fuck the next couple days and I haven't been back since. those two go like 3 times a week or something and I'm too lazy to get a membership and go with them—I don't even have any intention on getting fit either zzz.

i'm actually sort of shocked danny lifts now, perhaps he's finally decided to become a man. varun is the kind of guy i can predict would eventually lift.

Finally went back after over a months absence Did a light 40 minute work out, with a 10 minute run. Did 4 sets working on abs, and a set on shoulders. Gonna go back tomorrow for a longer run.

how much do you weigh patdick? i bet i could benchpress you :] you could probably bench 1½ to 1¾ of me i'm actually sort of shocked danny lifts now, perhaps he's finally decided to become a man. varun is the kind of guy i can predict would eventually lift. dan's intention of working out is to gain weight, and it's working out well for him. he actually has quite a larger appetite than before and feels less like shit apparently. varun is just trying to drop his body fat down and sculpt his muscles more. for my first time ever stepping foot in a gym, apparently my form wasn't too bad. benchpress and bicep curls were fairly straightforward for me, but holy fuck I can't do squats for shit. also, doing 3 sets of 2 separate sit up workouts absolutely demolished my abs—I literally couldn't stand straight after leaving the gym.

for the first time in years i weigh over 155lbs. feels good man, at one point i was down to like 135lbs. i know fat people often get proud of how much weigh they lost, for me it's the opposite. some people gain weight really hard, i feel like i've pretty much had to constantly force myself to eat more than i'm comfortable with for the last few months while working out. i'm so happy that all my t shirts are getting too small.
