Biographyshe a.k.a Pjat Lain or Piotr Trzaska (born 20 June 1983 in Krakow, Poland) is a multi-instrumentalist, chiptune artist and producer. Currently residing in Sweden, Lain was born in Poland where he learned to play piano at a very early age. In 1997 he began to take his melodymaking knowledge from the piano to the computer. He is also known for his unusual art designs, his use of music trackers and work with Nine Inch Nails. Lain’s latest release coloris takes a different direction and explores House/Disco/Electronica/Funk. It is also the first she album to feature vocals with lyrics. To be honest, the only albums I like are coloris and perhaps Pioneer. The rest of it sounds like a Japanese girl crushing all 8 bits of a NES.

The rest of it sounds like a Japanese girl crushing all 8 bits of a NES. I don't get it, how do you crush 8-bits of an NES? Is this suppose to be some kind of pun on binary and breaking an NES into 8 pieces

It's an audio engineering joke, I guess. Bit crushing is a type of digital distortion which acts to lower the resolution of waveforms, creating a noisy NES-like sound.

Man, it is times like these I wish I had taken Music and Computers in Grade 10 and 11. I took stuff like Guitar or Psychology instead.
