I will be updating this thread to let you all know what happened in the Battle of the Composers competition.
28 composers move on:
Vivaldi, Handel, JS Bach, Stamitz, Haydn, and Boccherini.
Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Wagner, J. Strauss II, Muggorsky, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, R. Strauss, Holst, Orff, Gershwin, Cage, Hisaishi, Williams, Uematsu, and Tsujiyoko each with 2 or 3 votes, And our leaders in this poll, Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy, and Stravinsky each with 4 votes.
Eliminated from the challenge are:
Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini: Kings of the Opera.
Carmille Saint-Saens: Writer of "The Carnival of the Animals"
Arnold Schoenberg: Creator of the 12 tone system
Sergey Prokofiev: Creator of Peter and the Wolf.
Now all other competetors will fight for the final 4 spots in the bracket.

The final 4 moving on to elimination are: Felix Mendelssohn, Edvard Grieg (after a tought fight with 2 video game composers), Johann Pachelbel, and Johann Strauss I

Carl Phillip Emanual Bach : Son of J.S. Bach, involved in Galant and Early Classical style
Gioaccino Rossini : Creator of William Tell
Johannes Brahms : Considered the sucessor of Beethoven, wrote in a Classical style while living in the Romantic Era
Alexander Borodin : Maker of Prince Igor and In the Steppes of Central Asia, wrote in a Russian style
Georges Bizet: Maker of Carmen
Dimitri Shostakovich: Best known as his 2nd waltz and his 5th symphony. Also known as the greatest Soviet Composer by many
Koichi Sugiyama: Dragon Warrior is his biggest claim to fame
Koji Kondo: Mario and Zelda top his list
