I am now in an annoying financial position between affording an older T30, T40, T41 or T42 ThinkPad and not having enough for a new SL500 or a used T61. I currently sit at $410.

Anything faster than the Dumpster Dell suffices, really. An SL500 or T61 would just be additionally nice. I am currently waiting on responses for an R51 and an R61e. |

She can do whatever the hell she wants with the envelope I'm already sending.
So I've entertained this guy's offer of a ThinkPad T42 for $350. He's got a 9-cell battery on it that goes 4-5 hours, which is pretty nice, although I'll have to give the whole thing a look down before I hand anything over. Specs suit the fact I don't game anymore pretty well, although it's not going to be that great for FL Studio.
1.7 GHz Intel Pentium M (Dothan)
512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM
40 GB drive (I'll replace this)
9-cell battery (because it's not right if it's not sticking out the back)
14.1" XGA LCD (1024x768)
ATI Mobility Radeon 7500
Analog Devices AC'97 audio
My intentions are to use it as a school workhorse, which it should have no problem with.
