I'm going to be surrounded by white people wherever I go. Media production in any of its forms is the WHITEST industry you could possibly go into. About 75% of Technicolor consists of white British blokes.

Thousands of the best students in the world apply to Caltech every year, 215 or so get accepted. It's not so big a deal.
If you get into MIT however, I will be amazingly fucking impressed.
Also I'm kind of curious Andre, why did you want to study literature? What kind of stuff were you thinking of doing after university?

My main motivation in applying to MIT was to get people to stop telling me to go to MIT.
In a few days, that dream will be realized.

Unless Daryl has straight 100s or something, a guy like him who hasn't had many extra-curricular isn't going there. Also from what I understand he hasn't been building robots or something in his spare time that he enters into science fairs, winning first place or anything like that. For those reasons he probably isn't going.
Also that's a pretty expensive way to shut people up. University applications are $35 apiece over here, some Unis charging even more.

That's not the same at all. Neither 44 or 30 is 35.
