I'm the worst on every level, rofl You're also $1,000+ less than the three ultraportables mentioned, rofl. I simply put the Eee PC there as another base of reference to go along with my T42. for my fucking around computer i'm really stuck between the eee or a HP netbook. and battery life is gayishly important to me (for te obvious reasons) HP and ASUS are pretty even with battery life, with the exception of the Eee PC 1000H. Any Eee PC other than the 1000H has a pretty bad keyboard.

If you're going to get one of the 7" ones, Windows XP is practically impractical.
