HD Tach works fine in Vista if you put it in XP compatibility mode.

Heh, I forgot that existed. Nevertheless, HD Tune is a newer program which is used by sites such as Tom's Hardware (who, in an unrelated matter, gave both my motherboard and power supply Best of 2004 Awards). It also gives you a cooler chart with not only the read speed, but seek time as a scatterplot as well.

Free CPU Benchmark has a rough inverse relationship with CPUMark, we could estimate a large portion of the results with a good enough equation.
