I would probably be a pc gamer if I actually owned a computer that was powerful enough to play games. Most PCs I've owned struggle to run movies.

PC gaming is expensive :< As far as movie playback goes, CoreAVC is a pretty awesome H.264 decoder that smokes FFmpeg and Windows 7's AVC decoders. Unless you've got a modern graphics card with H.264 acceleration, it's pretty much the way to go. My ThinkPad T42 comfortably plays 720p with it and almost plays 1080p. |
