Perhaps you're also so close to the mother, that the distance is measured to be less than one, and so cubing it makes it smaller?

The last two days have been pretty nice.
Red text only looks good with Light Business and Light Engineering, by the way. It appears odd or lacks contrast with all the other non-retarded themes.

Red on any moderate-light to light or moderate-dark to dark tint/shade looks fine. It isn't offset by it. If anything, on white, red is drowned out more than it is on a darker background.
