Watch this in 1080p. As much as I don't really like the Mortal Kombat games, this will most likely be the truest to source material and overall best video game movie to ever come out so far. Hollywood NEEDS to let indie directors direct video game movies. the recent Street Fighter Legacy movie that was recently came out is like 5 minutes long with an incredibly low budget but still hailed as the best adaption to film the series has ever seen, because the guy who made it ACTUALLY LIKES STREET FIGHTER. The guy who made this is clearly a huge MK fan and submitted it to WB, so we can only pray it becomes a movie. |

the thing is it's just a concept trailer being submitted to WB, so it might never become a movie  and given how Hollywood prefers to completely butcher video game movies, somehow I'm doubtful that it will ever actually become a movie |

I think submitting it to WB is a bad idea. He should just take out a massive loan and do it himself.

somehow I really doubt a single independent director has the kind of credit to be able to make that kind of loan, but it would be amazing if he could.
there should be a new company founded for the sole purpose of creating amazing video game movies. Every employee must be a gamer in some way or form. Janitors included.

also, my notes:
- the director doesn't seem spectacular...although the cinematography as a whole is pleasing.
- yeah...scorpion isn't supposed to have a face.
-baraka was never human.
- the original sub-zero died a long time ago... came back as noob saibot. the sub zero that scorpion is after is a reincarnated form of sub-zero who totally only fights for the good guys....so he sort of wouldn't be on the cops wanted list.
- reptile looks more like drahmin in this movie...
- Jax should probably have metal arms...he's Jax.
- the actor playing scorpion doesn't really fit the character too well.
just saying.
i'd still see the movie though.

but anyways, honestly it just seemed like they hired some black belts and filmed a fight scene
and of course i know the acting doesn't have to be amazing, just after seeing good acting from my action movies these days (300 , crank for example) i expect...more
other than those things i'm all for it, BUT the same guy has to play raiden again, he just is perfect for that movies

fuck, crank was a good movie. this is coming from a guy who hates nearly ever movie he watches
also, MK is one of the things i go nerdy for...i don't really play it anymore, but i did when i was younger.
