I agree, we should filter "a" as "aq" from now on, and vice versa.
well I guess you'd actually want something more like
[[:space:]*|[:punct:]*|^][aA][[:space:]*|[:punct:]*|$]
so that you wouldn't rape every word with an a in it, unless you wanted to @_@
