I went and saw Wreck-It Ralph last night. IMDB: www.imdb.com/title/tt1772341/I thought it was excellent, really. I'm not a huge movie person, and I don't often take time out of my day to go to a theatre, spend a ridiculous amount of money on concessions, and have my chair kicked by little shits. But I thought, why not! Definitely worth it. It was hilarious with a compelling storyline and shittons of nerdy references, both young and old. Plus, Jane Lynch is a bad ass. I'd suggest go reading up on it if you're Stephanie, or cool like Stephanie. Seems like a movie she'd like. Cool story bro.

I actually just saw the movie yesterday. If you have any sort of younger sibling you can take to see it, definitely do so. If you don't, go anyway. It's a very good film and can entertain adults and kids alike. It's all really well constructed too, each arcade world has its own distinct video game influences but manages to be original at the same time. Lots of video game references too (though some are really, really brief). They likely will pass over the heads of most younger kids in the audience, but that's likely a good thing for them because it exposes them to the "roots" of video game culture and all that stuff. Jane Lynch is also a badass, yeah. Plus John C. Reilly is Ralph, and he's just awesome. Alan Tudyk also voices Kind Candy, which I actually did not even realize until the credits. I actually kind of hope they do a sequel to this, so long as it's high quality. It kind of feels like the video game version of Toy Story. Guys, all the major presses are still going. Why haven't they stopped yet?

I'm pretty sure a lot of them stopped years ago as digital media flourished.
