When you come in dying, I'm the one who helps you see the doctor. I have to take all your information and insurance and whatnot. This place is an urgantcare/imaging/old people centre, rolled into one. So, I can deny people if they can't pay.

Then they'd be going to the ER, not urgent care.
Basically, a glorified receptionist, yes. Except there's more work within this company compared to a private practice, which I've worked at as well.
