I have to say that this sentence looks really awkward, you've mixed up the use of 日本語 and 学び with the particle を here. Remember that 日本語 is the object/noun you're referring to here, and 学び is the verb you are using to refer to it. Also 学び doesn't refer to study in the sense of being a verb, it's more like a noun. I would strongly suggest you try using the word 勉強 (べんきょう) which is a much more common word when used by Japanese people, it's used from my understanding far more frequently as a verb than a noun as well. If I was to suggest another sentence for you to try using instead, it would be something like: 僕は日本語を勉強します Or something similar. Keep in mind I have a preference for 僕 or 俺 just because 私 seems to be used by women fairly often, although I guess it depends on where you go.

oh god rofl you should really try to be a japanes teacher when you grown up More like be an English teacher, I'll save the Japanese teaching for native speakers. I was thinking of taking a couple of Japanese courses at Waterloo (a lot of the people on freenode and rizon channels like #japanese and #nihongo are people who took Japanese courses at Waterloo) and then going for JET Program after getting an undergraduate degree. The cool thing about JET is that it doesn't matter what your major or minor is, so long as you're a college grad, you don't even need to know Japanese to teach English.
