On Thursday, Kuldeep made an interesting remark. He stated it twice in conflicting ways, but what I think he meant was: Those with an IQ above 130 cannot appreciate trance. (He said "Those with an IQ not above" and "Those with an IQ above" but I assume this to be the correct statement) This is an interesting concept. A lot of trance absorbs, so I must be brilliant. However, to see if there really is some sort of link between music genres and IQ, I'd like to gather a bunch of results. simple-iq.com/Please post your results of that test, along with the musical genres you listen to. I have not taken this test yet, but I assume that it probably works well enough for this experiment. Once enough data is gathered, I'll make some sort of table to show any patterns that may exist.

Given the fact I don't know what the hell is going on with anything right now, it would probably be good if I took this test tomorrow instead.

I have done some experimenting with this test for fun. The first time I did this I had just woken up and was eating a fruit cup while I did it, and I got 104 with about 184 seconds remaining. After this I began the fun part. As a 99 year old native speaker with 48 seconds remaining choosing the academically stu pidest answers I could think of, I was able to score 19 points. As a one year old non-native speaker, within 35 seconds I was able to score 150. As myself (16, native speaker) the max score I could attain was 149. As myself but a non-native speaker, the max score I could attain was 150, note that both of these scores were done through carefully analyzing every question and then memorizing the order of the answers and completing the test within 20 seconds. Conclusion: the score is lowered as a person's age increases, and the score increases if the person is a non-native speaker, and being younger than 7 invalidates the additional points scored due to age. Here is your proof: This was done as a non-native speaking 7 year old. Also, I only listen to Japanese music (as in Japanese rock, Anime music, video game music, and J-Pop) and Squarepusher, Radiohead, Mindless Self-Indulgence, Dream Theater, Autechre and the Beatles as far as artists from countries other than Japan go. If you want, I can post the answers I used and we can collaboratively ensure they are all correct.

Hmm. I enjoy modern rock I suppose. I don't know the name of the genre I like... Also, I enjoy the laments from musical theatre.

If I put a genre down incorrectly, please remark about it. Some of you also need to specify further, unless you really do like industrial music, Danny. 155, Classical, sound track, electronica, electropop, and J-rock (though because i can understand J-Rock, it sorta loses it's meaning as "foreign rock", so you might just classify it as regular rock for me, or whatever)
