pretty much all streams of kojima or someone else playing the phantom pain also this is the map of just the Afghanistan level of TPP, and it's already 20x bigger than every Metal Gear game put together. There's confirmed to be an Africa level too. |

I've been playing through the whole Metal Gear series lately starting with Metal Gear 1987, got up to Guns of the Patriots now. Fuck I forget how fun this game is. I want to do this now. What did you play Metal Gear and 2 on? NES/MSX emulator or MGS3 Subsistence? I'm also surprised they haven't made a remake of either one by now.

basically I just bought mgs hd collection, mgs4 and mgs1 on PSN as a classic. played metal gear 1 and 2 on the HD collection in snake eater. you can also just buy the legacy collection and it comes with all of them, but it's rare/pricey now. honestly it's weird but I've been having a lot of fun just trying to do no kills, no alerts runs. I got through snake eater with no kills on hard, but fucked up and got two alerts. so far in guns of the patriots i've got no kills, no alerts on hard, for some reason I want to try speedrunning the game to get the big boss extreme achievement. same thing for mgs3, I plan to try to 100% ground zeroes. some guy did the whole mission in less than 4 mins. some people are thinking because konami forced a cease and desist on the fan project to remake metal gear 1 and 2 when david hayter got involved, it might mean that kojima has some faint interest in remaking the games. but I don't imagine it will happen for a long time. given that fox engine has been completed, so it might speed up development time, but I don't think we'll see a remake of those games soon. having big boss and solid snake confront one another in a game on FOX Engine after all these years of them being in their own separate games and being developed as characters would be amazing. it's just that kojima will probably basically retcon the whole original plot of metal gear 1 and 2 (1 is pretty awful, 2 is slightly better), and then replace it with something new. I think he probably just wants to work on anything else at this point, that's why he's latching onto silent hill. he's giving metal gear one last shot... but he'll probably get dragged out to make another mgs after a few years. if it happens, I want this theme to make a return  |
