Almost broke 0C with my phone in my pocket. I know I've done it on my ThinkPad before by leaving it in my car. The battery dropped 10% over 10 minutes with no usage at that temperature.

i didn't know that cold environments make the battery deplete faster but I guess that it does make sense
reminds me of when I had a horrible laptop that could barely run stepmania on low that would always get really hot anytime I tried to play a game in high school, so what I would do is go into my garage in the winter with a jacket on, sit down and play the shit out of stepmania for like 2 hours on the little table we have in there.
it was cold as fuck but goddamn the game ran so much smoother in the garage for some reason.

my phone battery definitely depletes faster on friday nights when I work as a milk guy for a shift. the first couple hours of my shift are spent inside the dairy cooler ramming the fuck out of milk and re-piling crates.
prior to landing my print shop gig, I used to work there between 16 to 24 hours a week and my battery depletion fluctuated so hard because I'd be constantly spending like half my day inside the cooler and the other half on the sales floor working shit, lmao.

Back when my X60 Tablet was the fastest computer I had (1.86 GHz Core Duo power) I would also go into the garage to render videos or do other intensive stuff without issue. Core Duo was literally two Pentium M's stuck together with no thermal considerations, so the thing would hit 92C and either throttle itself or shut off. I could almost literally boil water on it. I'm pretty sure I actually heated the garage up after a while.

yeah my desktop runs a 2.13 ghz core 2 duo and if I don't dust out my tower, especially during the summer time, my rig overheats and core temperatures would normally sit above 80C with the cpu fan spinning maximum speed. my entire room becomes a fucking sauna if I keep my door closed when that happens, lmao.

Not a hostile environment, but this is the lowest my CPU has ever registered with the room being 19.5C using this bitch.
