this is very true, I remember in the early days of Android the phones were pretty slow. You wanted an alternative to Apple, but they just generally weren't as fast. now if anything the Android phones are faster.
also you guys should watch the movie "Steve Jobs", will make you despise the man if you already don't.

 I managed to flash Marshmallow onto the Nexus S. It's actually way faster than Jelly Bean which was the last official update for it. I'm going to flash GApps on it later and see how usable it is in 2016. |

The Lumia is actually a decent phone if you're a basic bitch like me. As I mentioned in my post on the previous page, battery life is pretty good with moderate usage, but there's a lack of apps for Windows. Didn't mention before that there's a micro SD slot located above the SIM, which is convenient for storage expansion. The thing I don't like about it is that you have to yank the battery out to even get to the slot--currently, I'm using a 8gb SD card to directly store the shitty photos and videos I take. I don't know how the camera is for the higher end models, but for the 520 I'm using, it's shitty under low lighting. What I've noticed recently from traveling is that the initial boot up of the OS is quite slow, and multi-tasking between different open apps slows shit down considerably. The only thing I would say that I like about the Lumia is the entire tile aesthetic of the home screen, which is so fucking bad on desktop Windows but actually bearable on mobile.
If I remember correctly, Microsoft cut their funding and focus for the Lumia line because the mobile phone market is over saturated and their acquisition of Nokia was late in the game. I've seen maybe less than 10 people that actually own and use a Windows phone willingly.
