tbh only about 50% of my cd collection I actually still like listening to. the other 50% (mostly all the weeb shit) are kinda just there lol

I started buying CD's when I started driving, so I only own like ~20, and they're all dispersed around my house and in my car.
Even though I have an ipod hooked up to my car, I like the aesthetic of popping a CD on, and jamming to it over the course of a few days.





Pretty much the library of music I've been listening to since I was 14.
I still occasionally go back to my Classic Rock roots (like a good whiteboi)
But for the most part, my Hip Hop and Indie folders are the fastest growing ones I have (like a good whiteboi)

out of curiosity what apps do you guys use for playing music from phone/computer or whatever? i just use foobar on the desktop and poweramp on the phone. poweramp is one of the few apps i'd recommend buying\

Before I transfered my music from my old computer to this one, I used to have four folders labeled Matt's Music, Matt's New Music, Matt's Newer Music, and Matt's Newest Music.
Looked dumb so I spent time organizing it by genre. I noticed you labeled your album folders with the year in the title, for me the album folders are more or less a mess.

Google Play for my phone (I have like, 70% of my library on the cloud) and I have a MicroSD card that's 32GB for it. On my computer, I use foobar as well.

i don't even organize them, some album folders just start with the year from wherever it's torrented from. although i think foobar does have a tool where it actually restructures your folders and music to organize it properly.

I just use foobar, last.fm for scrobbling, and whatever shit I've put on my ipod touch—I don't have a need to use any music streaming apps tbh.

I dump everything into my music folder as well, but I usually organize by artist(s)/label — catalogue number (sometimes) — album.

I forgot I have a folder for my CD rips which is about 20GB in size because they're in flac. I have people sometimes asking me if I can rip one of the CDs I own for them, and I like to keep a ripped version for posterity's sake, lol. At some point, I plan to rip my entire collection (I've only done 51% of it atm).
