Now that we're on launch day and about 9 hours from the campaign unlocking, I'd like to give a shoutout of thanks to my crack peddling older brother, George. I will never forget the night in 2007 when my brother suddenly woke me up at 4am in the morning, and looked down at me and said, "Mike... do you want an Xbox?". He then explained to me that he just sold some guy crack and the guy had no money, and just gave my brother his Xbox 360 instead. At first I was shocked, then I hooked up the Xbox 360 in my room since my brother was too retarded to know how to hook up a console. Even though he was 12 years older than me. That crackhead had some alright games to be honest, Forza 2, Madden, MGS2, Gears of War. I played through a bunch of them. And then I finally bought into the hype and got Halo 3 long after it's launch. I didn't know much about the story besides what I could gather from videos online. I played through the campaign and got hooked as fuck to that 3 month trial of Xbox live. I can still remember the joys of screaming expletives at other children online. I had played Halo at other friend's house but didn't realize how cracklike the game was. Now I've put in almost 60 hours into the multiplayer of Infinite, ruined my eyes and I'm ready as fuck for the Chief to come back. Thank you George, for selling crack. Because if you hadn't sold crack for a living and randomly gotten an Xbox 360 for free, there was no way my parents were going to buy me a new console. I had a console fall right into my lap and you didn't even want to play video games, you just wanted to sell crack. Because of you I realized how fucking dope Halo was even though it was a fucking console shooter, and for years upon years I dreamt of the day we'd have Halo on PC. Eventually MCC came out on PC and Infinite was promised to launch concurrently with Xbox complete with crossplay. We've come a long way. I don't know if I would have had so much love for this series if it weren't for you selling crack George, so thanks.

My entire thesis on this game is that 99% of the people talking about it are mentally retarded. This is easily the best FPS game of the past 10 years, only Modern Warfare 2019 holds a candle to it. Grappleshots, limited thrusters and repulsors change the dynamics of this game so goddamn much. It's like 2008 Xbox Live Halo 3 on that Walter White blue meth. I'm mainlining this shit like my internal organs rely on it. The game should have been called Halo Infinite Grappleshots, the limitless grappling of the campaign makes this a better Spider-Man game than Spider-Man 2018. I genuinely wish everyone else could have even one quarter of the sheer fun I'm having every day with Infinite, probably something is completely wrong with most people's brains besides mine. That or their PC just su cks. There have been at least over 100 moments playing this games multiplayer and campaign where I literally shouted out like "WOOOAH" from sheer adrenaline while either getting an awesome multikill or seeing something completely unexpected happen. I can't believe 343 did it, they surpassed Bungie. There have been moments of me losing a match and just staring at the screen in absolute disbelief, like I can barely wrap my mind around the fact that my team lost. I was clearly doing well and scoring hard, the rest of my team was actually competent and trying their best. Still, we lost. Our teamwork just wasn't cohesive enough. And the greatest part of all, is that even when I lose, I can genuinely say that I still had fun despite how much I'm literally hollering out loud at my monitor at 3am. Holy fuck I love this game. Holy fuck I thank Jesus Christ above us just for allowing me to live through this game's release. There is a God and he does love me.  Honestly Weapon is cute and all but I would literally eat Halo 4 Cortana's ass. Should have at least kept that booty intact.  I mean Halo 3 had a nice ass on Cortana for 2007, but the design really peaked in 2012. Around Halo 5 Cortana had stopped doing squats and instead wanted to focus on taking over the world. Hopefully Weapon will have developed her ass cheeks strong by the time The Endless DLC expansion comes out for Infinite.

Everything from the initial launch, the meteoric rise of the Halo Trilogy that set off the Xbox itself, Xbox Live and became the biggest entertainment launch in history with Halo 3. They even cover the missteps along the way like the Red Ring of Death. Absolutely worth watching, made me appreciate how far Microsoft has come and how much further they have to go. Soon I will explain exactly what I mean as promised in the first post, there is a reason this thread is called Apotheosis X. |
