Holy shit this is the actually good sequel to Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 I waited most of my adult life for. This game is like Mario Odyssey if Mario was the Blue Falcon from F-Zero. Not only the best controlling version of Sonic, but fully transitions the series into open world successfully. Sonic moves so motherfucking fast once you start leveling up his speed. For once in my life, I finally feel like I am the Blue Blur.

A true shame, but it seems like Dr Robotnik's bots were unable to successfully Joe Biden Sonic Frontiers into being Player's Choice Game of the Year. Honestly having played God of War and Elden Ring, I think I can safely conclude that Sonic Frontiers is a better game than both of them. Imagine if Elden Ring was actually challenging and fun instead of just being a boring, repetitive and tedious roll-a-thon. Meanwhile in Sonic Frontiers you barely roll at all, Boost has got you covered.



This game is like the official Autism Awareness game. Sonic and autism just goes together like peanut butter and jelly. Based Completionist confirms, Frontiers is one of the greatest Sonic games ever made, period.



I might also recommend that new Sonic Prime show, seems promising.

Gotta admit if I have one criticism of this game, it's the lack of Rouge. Definitely keeps it oh so close and yet so far from being a 10/10 game. Oh well, maybe they're saving up the batmilk for the sequel.

SEGA got my money like Ol' Dirty Bastard this Christmas. This game has made me remember why I loved the Blue Blur for so many years. Memories of dad buying me the Sonic and Tails train set when I was 4 came back. Glory has returned to this franchise, the future is so bright I can't even see it. Ended up grabbing Sonic Origins and modded it with that Michael Jackson kick in Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Gonna replay 1 to CD, then replay Mainyards, then rewatch the cutscenes of Adventure 1 and 2, then finally beat Frontiers. Sonic is finally back!









Honestly I would replay Adventure 1 and 2 but I prefer to just listen to the soundtracks and watch the choice cutscenes. Gameplay has aged like milk, Frontiers really smoothed out and modernized Sonic's controls while also providing the fastest Sonic ever when you level up Speed heavily.
