I have unironically watched this film over 50 times.

I have been browsing 4chan since 2006, 31 here. In around 2010, I remember being interested in who the dubs guy was from all the "check 'em" memes. I was about 19 then.
I remembered torrenting the movie and watching it once alone, and later with a friend. The film always stuck with me. Once every few years, I'd always rewatch it. Eventually I bought it on Blu-Ray.
With every girl I've ever had a serious relationship, I always watch this film with them, at least once. Except, it never is just once. Inevitably, my girlfriends have always ended up choosing to rewatch the film on their own. Without fail. My current girlfriend might be more autistic than me, I've actually woken up in the morning just to catch her watching American Psycho so many times, I have actually lost count.
It's reached the point where saying out lines in sync with the film has become something of a past time of ours. I've always considered it to be the best film ever directed by a woman, truly one of the only works of art made by a woman I can frequently go back to and still find thought provoking. What struck me as funny was my girlfriend telling me I unironically remind her of Patrick Bateman, from my mannerisms and the way I talk and so on. I look nothing like the guy, but I guess I do kind of act like him.
Anyone else have similar experiences with this film? I remember as a child I probably watched Space Jam and The Lion King probably well over 100 times each, but in adult life I don't think I've rewatched any film more than this one. Wolf of Wall Street is a close second, again, mostly because my girlfriend won't stop rewatching it.
