Literally make you more able to enjoy a good story and be able to tell if it's good or not. I've been telling people this shit for years.
A story that sucks will always suck regardless of whether or not it's been 'spoiled' for you. Likewise a story that's actually good will be good regardless of whether you were 'spoiled'. The journey matters just as much as the destination.
