XF has closely averted a major crisis just a few hours ago. Quick thinking, pre-planning, experience, and a trusting sense of danger have allowed XF to remain standing, unscratched and fully operational.
It was a normal day to most people, but to the well-known rebel XF Insurgency, today was to be a red letter day. Through a normal and innocent appearance, a single member of the XFI's Special Forces managed to penetrate XF's hardened physical defence system. Highly skilled in covert espionage, the agent managed to purge XF's existence from the remote server of which it resided. Leaving with a smile, his job was accomplished, and it seemed to be a major victory for the XFI.
All hope seemed to be gone. Those who made an attempt to visit were greeted by a splash page encouraging the creation of a new forum. There appeared to be no way of ever recovering XF, thanks to the lack of a backup system. Things were utterly fucked.
Luckily enough, Hauskaz knew what the hell he was doing.
The agent did a very good job of infiltrating the XF headquarters, but prior intelligence raised concerns in the only staff member holding the ability to completely erase XF. To remain on the safe side, he decided to take some special countermeasures.
During the voyage from public education to the XF facility, Hauskaz took it upon himself to wirelessly notify the staff of ProBoards about a possible attack upon XF. The instructions laid out were to create a backup image of XF, then monitor it for any hostile activity. If it were to be wiped or deleted, they would wait three to four hours to let their victory sink in. At the height of their accomplishment, they would then restore the backup. The staff was willing to uphold this offer, and carried though with perfection.
It is thanks to brilliant administration by both Hauskaz and Craig Suffolk that XF stands at this current moment. We will not step down for pitiful guerrilla warfare.
XF will be undergoing a dramatic restaffing in a short moment. Please hold for details regarding the changes.
