So, I went to England to visit Ant and stayed there for a month, and the food was quite different! Now, most of you fag fucks are in Canada so I have no idea wtf you eat, but, anyway, I was just curious if you guys have tried any of the shit I tried there!
His dad is Italian so we ate lots of Italian food and his stupid fucking bitch mom is Irish but that doesn't really matter.
So, do you guys have.. Yorkshire Puddings there? Ugh, I wanna do that think where you can link a word of phrase to a URL but I can't, so FUCK IT. But anyway, www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/images/imgstore/240_19202_i.jpg Those are Yorkshire puddings! They are like.. biscuit bread things? And they have this weird kind of yellow gravy shit in the middle, and they were actually super good but I had never heard of them, and I didn't think, you know, Pudding=Biscuit.
Also, two kind of normal dishes, Applesauce and pork, and when they told me to try it, I was like wtfsick, but it was actually super good. DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT, I GUESS. But it was lame, whenever I ate meat there, like pork or lamb (Lamb was also super good, never had before), it was always cold. Now I don't know if that's tradition or if they are just fucking dumbasses.
The mustard there is INSANELY hot. Like, NO ONE told me it was so I put some on my food, took a bite and I was like OH GOD and started crying and got all snotty and whatever, and it was rather embarrassing, but no one told me that it was insanely hot! Maybe I should've guessed by how little everyone else was using.
Haha, their potatoes are super small. Well, compared to the ones we always get. They are about half the size, and they roast them and you eat them kind of like fries and it's super good! AND I HAD SPINACH OH GOD, I always thought it was sigusting (which it is, raw) but cooked, it's amazing. Ant brought me to this Italian restaurant and I had some fucking insane ravioli dish, and it was raviolis stuffed with spinach and covered in cheese sauce with green olives in it, and I didn;t know it had spinach in it, but I starting eating it and it was so good, and I was like, 'What's in this?!" And Ant was like, "Spinach," and I laughed and felt stupid.
I also had a variety of curries, which names I can't remember except one. Sag Aloo, and it was really good! It was potatoes with spinach and like some weird sauce and seasonings, and it was great. But they would buy like, 9 or 10 different dishes of curry and just throw them on the table, and most of it was alright, and they had these like.. super super thin pancakes, like, thinner than french crepes, but they were hard and crispy and you dipped them in this weird yellow sauce and that was also super good! I wish I could remember the names, but I know I'll probably never get to have them again since I have no idea where to get curry in the states.
What else? We had regular meals like spaghetti bolonaise or some shit, which is.. spaghetti but made differently, I guess, like it is from household to household. I had Fish (Cod) and Chips, which was also super good. And his father grilled one day, which was pretty good, and they grilled this cheese with an insanely high melting point and it was also quite good!
But like, his mom is chubby but thinks she is skinny and is trying to get more skinny so she doesn't eat a lot/buy a lot, so there really wasn't a lot for me to eat during the day. I usually had a piece of bread with butter on it at like 10am, and then wouldn't eat again until 7pm, which fucking absorbed but oh well! It was probably good for me.
BUT YES, GO TO ENGLAND AND TRY FOOD.
