Whilst in England, I purchased a Turquoise DS Lite to replace my 3 or 4 year old launch DS, and Ant bought Pokemon Pearl, whilst I grabbed Diamond.

That's why I like to keep the PPI of my monitors around the 90 mark. Higher makes pixels too small for an OS that isn't resolution-independent, while any lower makes everything too pixelated and restricts screen space.
This is only for desktop use though. I like higher PPI displays for laptops and portable devices.

I play, it's pretty fun, but the battle scenes too slow for me. Never going to evolve Piplup, though.

Pokemon battles are way too slow. I just turned off all of the battle animations and turned up the word printing to max speed, still not fast enough. It makes level grinding a bit difficult. Diamond and Pearl is still probably the best entry in the series. Do you have a picture of the turquoise DS Lite?
