When I'm not doing anything I'll use the built in speakers, so I'll most often hear from them, but that's just for IM sounds and stuff. Most of the sound-listening activities are done with earbuds.

Most listening is done with the Altec Lansing 251 speakers of mine. I reserve the Beyerdynamic DT 250-80s for audio production or serious music listening. The sound detail and noise attenuation make them too scary to use for gaming. That shit spooks me.

I have one good speaker and one shitty one, so any of those would be a lie.

I've been using the same pair of earbuds for the last 2 years virtually every single day. I have speakers but I almost never use them except for watching anime while eating dinner in my room, primarily because eating a large meal with earbuds on has this tendency to get food on the earbuds. I spend most of my time in my room wearing earbuds of some kind, so this would be the best answer. The earbuds in question are iPod earphones which came packaged in my 2nd Generation Nano. I've actually gotten FAR more use out of the earbuds than I ever did the iPod, mostly because I never listen to it except on buses or my bed while trying to sleep. Before this I had a set of noise-cancelling headphones, which unfortunately broke, and when I was about 12 or 13 I had a pair of 'DJing' headphones I got for about $16.99 at a flea market. Before that there were many options I would use, stealing my brother's earphones which came with a small plastic handle with could be easily attached to your ear, provided your ear cartilage wasn't as fucked up as mine were at the time. Other times I would simply use dollar store headphones, and there was one time I recall selling some guy pot for his headphones (which were miserably broken) <.< I wonder if Alex Bankuti remembers this or even has the headphones. He should, because the bastard has a pair of Sennheissers now

Sennheissers are pretty damn nice, although the cheaper pairs don't last all that long.
They still did sound pretty nice for the price I got them at, though.

I'm too poor to have had the experience of good sound quality in any form. This is another reason I should get a job

Those Sennheisser HD 202s of mine were something like $30, and were pretty good for that price. It's too bad the cable got fucked up.

Factory Direct? Or where did you buy them?

Bay Bloor Radio. Factory Direct is worthless for headphones, although there are some decent PC speakers available.
