These things can happen to all browsers.

There is not an equal probability of it happening to any given browser, however.

I haven't used Internet Explorer for actual web browsing in more than ten years. I've only ever launched it to install XP updates, test HTML or just laugh at how awful it is.

I can't use IE anymore. It feels like shit.

I completely stopped using IE. Before I actually used it to lurk places and play FFR (which was laggy as fuck and the frame rate was terrible, rofl).
And now whenever I open up IE for whatever reason, I can't help but close it, rofl.

For about the past 7 or so years, Internet Explorer has existed as a program that has the sole purpose of downloading Firefox; recently Chrome was added to it's repetoire of things it exists to download. I'm pretty much in the Tyler boat here, since I discovered Netscape or whatever (and then Firefox later on (and then Opera later on (and then Chrome later on))) when I was around 7 or 8 or whatever, I was done with Internet Explorer permanently.

Yes. rofl
Netscape was my browser of choice in the classic browser war days, although Netscape 4 was actually as bad as Internet Explorer 4. Netscape only went downhill from there, so I used IE for a short period until switching to Mozilla. Mozillla ran pathetically slow on my 233 MHz Compaq though, so I eventually switched to Opera 7. A good number of years later on a 2.4 GHz Celeron HP, I went from Opera to Firefox to escape the built-in ads Opera had at the time. I've stuck with Firefox since then, although I would still be using Opera if I didn't make that transition so long ago.
Chrome's pretty cool, and I may switch to it for the performance if mouse gestures are implemented.

Keyboard shortcuts > mouse gestures.

I primarily engage in reading rather than writing, making the mouse more effective than the keyboard for most of my browsing. On the other hand, I control OpenOffice.org, FL Studio, Logic, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and other programs through a balanced combination of keyboard and mouse operations (OpenOffice.org is almost exclusively keyboard shortcuts however).

I used IE as my browser for the longest time, though I had Firefox and Opera installed. At one point I decided to switch from IE to Opera due to Opera being better, though not to Firefox because my copy of Opera was faster than my copy of Firefox at the time. I later switched to Firefox when 3.0 came out, and it clearly defeated Opera as far as speed went. Now I'm still using Firefox. I'm fully willing to switch to Chrome if it gets some more UI flexibility (Native or through add-ons), though I don't think I'll switch back to Opera. I don't quite know why, though.

I recently used Opera 9 on one of the computer engineering computers and was rather impressed by its speed, particularly on a 433 MHz Celeron. Opera 7 was also quite fast on my old 233 MHz Compaq Presario. Firefox 1 took quite a while to load and ran fairly slowly on that Compaq.

I'm pretty sure both are still nothing compared to Chrome, although I haven't tested with Firefox since that board I made, or ever with Opera. As such, I'd probably be willing to use it as my primary browser once the Linux version comes out. There is no add-on in Firefox that I use too much to justify not leaving. I've basically got a skin, a weather thing on the status bar, a + and - button to zoom, and an add-on that removes the names from my Bookmark Bar so I can fit more on it (While still seeing the name on mouseover). The only things I'd want to do with Chrome right now is have the option to change the tabs on the speed-dial type startup page if I wanted, and to be affected by Sizer on Windows.
