I've noticed weird anomalies as well with the 32M test when overclocking my Ryzen 1700X. I think our CPU's are too fast for that test to be accurate anymore.

These results are just plain weird. We got the same processor oc'd to 5GHz, but for some reason yours is faster on 32M and mine is faster on 1024M. I'm kind of wondering if the Noctua DH-15 cooler I got has something to do with that. Like maybe the processor stays cooler under a longer period or something like that. At the same time I'm also curious how yours is still faster for 32M. Also curious what impact the mobo makes since yours is an MSI make iirc and mine is ASUS ROG Maximus XI Z390.

He has an ASUS PRIME Z390-A which might have an inferior VRM setup to your board plus he may be running into thermal throttling issues on the 1024M test that your big air cooler doesn't. I would also disregard the 32M test at this point as our CPU's have reached the point they're so fast they fall within the margin of error on that test.
