@kalsi: It's basically this show about giant man-made biomechanical robots with souls piloted by neurotic 14 years olds destroying Angels sent by God to have sex with the first human ever, which is a giant angel crucified several hundred feet underground with a humongous lance going through its torso locked securely in mankind's last stronghold against god's wrath, NERV; also when the angels have sex they essentially cause huge explosions that are speculated to destroy the known universe.
Greatest anime ever made.
