Should have made this thread a long time ago but here it is. All discussion, reviews, tracks, livestreams, video recordings and so on all pertaining to Donda can be redirected to this thread.
Honestly I always love it anytime it's Yeezy season again. Deemzus always gets turnt up to ten and starts becoming autistic as fuck over this shit.
The link Lord Deemz sent me was shut down like pretty much every other video of the Donda livestreams. The live shows involved Kanye basically camping in the Mercedes Benz arena, working out while performing songs, waking up in a sleeping bag and so on. Heavy Death Stranding vibes, the tutelage of Kinojima has slipped through to Ye.
Lord Yeez himself seems to be interested in only appearing in live stadiums to perform, only masked. This is Donda mode Yeezus. I think it's fair to say the divorce album has finally come through clutch. Judging from the previews (some can be downloaded online) we have a pretty good album coming through.
Now obviously, it's a Kanye album so no one has any fucking clue when it's coming out. Don't believe any tentative release dates. The album will come out, when it comes out. And at no other point in the space-time continuum. The album has already missed release date like 3 times. I bet Kadeem that it would come out Sept 17th, just before my birthday. Basing this on complete random chance and also the fact that Kanye apparently left the Benz arena and went to another to finish the album. Until then, just post about Donda until the album comes out. I will review the albums multiple times in this thread.

Donda has become The Yeezus Resurrections. Just like the new Matrix is called the Matrix Resurrections and tells the story of Neo being reborn as The One again, so will Donda stand as Ye's return to form moment. This is how Ye responded when he heard Drake saying he's the hottest rapper in the world.
GOD THE FATHER LIKE MAURY
Today I will admit that Deemzus was right. When the first Donda show happened Kadeem came up to me and told me that Donda was about to have the greatest album rollout in Yeezus history. I scoffed at him and said "Man, just wake me up when the album drops." At this point I fully agree with him, Donda is very arguably now undergoing one of the greatest rollouts since the dawn of music as sounds being organized in some way. We're talking on par with the heyday of Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston, Prince, Pink Floyd, Eminem album rollouts. Donda is boldly attempting to surpass all of these album rollouts and gun for the greatest rollout of all time. Apparently over $12 million has been made on the rollout already.
When Kadeem stepped into my house Thursday night, he had heard very little of the 3rd listening party. I attempted to describe the vibe of the album to him like so: Imagine the decrepit, rotting body of Kanye on a stage. His faced is decomposed, there are maggots and bugs all over him. Suddenly, lightning strikes twice in the same spot, exactly where Kanye is. The clouds split apart, and the light of God shines upon the body of Ye. Suddenly his body begins reverse decomposing, the bugs begin fleeing, his skin and flesh repairs, the life restores to his face. The Artist formerly known as Kanye West rises upwards like a holy spirit, reborn. The beat drops, and immediately Ye begins spitting. Welcome, to Donda.
Honestly at this point I am half expecting Kanye to fly out to Toronto and build a giant Donda dome in front of Drake's house just to fuck with him. It's all fucking over when Yeezus drops a Joker pic in the group chat.
The best part of the night for me was when Hurricane came on and Deemzy closed both eyes and began singing the lyrics from heart in a falsetto voice:
Kadeem is always so cute when he imitates Abels' singing style. We enjoyed the whole show, culminating in Yeezus setting himself on fire (for real), being extinguished and then, immediately remarrying Kim? These two are on that break up to make up bullshit man. This is all part of the romance and foreplay for them.
Kan ended up assembling his own version of the Justice League. Marilyn Manson, DaBaby, Shenseea were all there among others.
Perhaps we should merge this thread with the "A B S O L U T E 🤡 K I N O" thread as the entirety of the Donda rollout has been pure kino of the highest order. Ye has become straight Joker pilled, forgot how to give a fuck and is now crafting his strongest album in years. Honestly I don't know when Donda will drop anymore even if it's apparently been sent to streaming services. Honestly I am just here for this bullshit now. Fuck it, let it burn.

All of the part 2s are better than the part 1s. Also I'm just gonna call the top three tracks right now for me as being ok part 2, hurricane and praise god. although the whole sequence from jail up to heaven and hell is a vibe and three quarters. second half of the album is pretty damn somber until it gets to the part 2s. then it slows back down into somber again with jesus lord 2. kanye has managed to adeptly fuse gospel music and hiphop together, he's been working on it for years but it finally succeeds here.

Like my personal hero Tim Rogers, I must delay my review of Donda until Deemzus and I have a session listening to the album together. So far we have both listened to the album alone multiple times. I need his perspective conflicting with mine to reach a proper resolution. Please understand.

So Deemzus and I had a LIT Donda listening sesh. A lot of smoking and drinking, a lot of Kadeem dancing around my living room with his lighter up. Honestly feels like we both discussed the album very heavily and had a lot of agreeing viewpoints on it. I think I am soon ready to drop my Donda review. However, I'm going to spend some time memorizing the liner notes. Deemzy and I both agreed, you NEED to read the credits of Donda to fully figure out who touched on this thing. After I have the Donda liner notes and lyrics ready, I'll be ready to make a review. I'm on my Tim Rogers tip and ready to go in in in on this shit.
Oh btw here's my Certified Boy Lover review:
CLB is a rock solid 3/10. the worst album i've listened to all year. 7am and 2 sexy are dece, Weezy has the best verse. Typical Drake project with too many forgettable tracks of Aubrey mulling over the same tired topics over and over. The features hold this thing together. More Life still the best project in recent years. awful cover art btw. OVO stans gonna mope and cope but it's true. Donda album of the year, both in terms of raw numbers and musical genius.
It's just funny because Certified Lover Boy is so mediocre I can give it a reasonable review after 1 listen: album is hot trash. The whole Yeezy/Drizzy beef is fake like wrestling, all promo. In comparison I think I've listened to Donda at least 12 times and still don't feel like I've analyzed the album enough to offer satisfactory criticism.

Holy fuck I just woke up with my throat feeling fucked. Deemz and I were singing the whole fucking album together almost. At one point I was stoned and tipsy singing "I KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE, GOD'S NOT FINISHED. I KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE, GOD'S NOT FINISHED. I KNOW YOU'RE ALIIIIIVE AND GOD'S NOT FINISHED" at the top of my lungs along with the whole choir chant. I didn't realize how much of the album I had memorized until Kadeem and I were basically singing/rapping the whole fucking thing together. It was like a karaoke date or something. Goddamn I need some Fisherman's Friend. We were both hollering "GUESS WHO'S GOING TO JAIIIIL TONIIIIIGHT" and singing Abel's verse word for word from memory. Fun night.

L M F A O after us spending an entire night together drinking gin, blazing and just discussing Yeezy and Donda for 3+ hours together, Deemzus literally had to video call me out of the blue right as I was getting out of the shower to start singing "Believe What I Say" at the top of his lungs. I was just completely naked save for my boxers while laughing at him. Somehow Kadeem has seen me in my underwear more than my own mother at this point. I fully expect him to do it again right when I'm in the middle of playing Strive or something. We're both basically in shock and awe at how great the album is, memorizing the lyrics and liner notes and so on. Fuck I love Yeezy Szn man.
