i would steal food too but they have security cameras everywhere
stealing a few burgers/ribs or ice cream or some shit was not worth losing my job to me lmfao
although sometimes I would steal eclairs if I knew I could grab one and slip it in my pocket real quick, also there was this damage area with fucktons of boxes of cookies that might have had a hole or dent or something, I would usually steal one and just let the cookie dough melt in my mouth while working
you lose a lot of energy when your workplace is -30C lol

a refrigerated storage facility. basically it was a giant freezer the size of several parking lots.
i've realized today that I would totally get out and get myself a job, but collecting 30something weeks of unemployment while doing absolutely nothing is far more convenient, even if I'd have more money.
goddamn this country is socialist.

well let's see. I worked from March to September, at which time I was laid off because business was so low that they couldn't afford to keep around 20 of the employees with less seniority. So 7 months I think. I get close to $300 a week, I was making $600 at my job but sitting at home not having to work in a freezer is worth being paid half as much to me.
also I was part of Teamsters 419. Don't know how important that was to it, but the 7 months and the fact that it was a group layoff was important to them granting me benefits.

I guess that's nice to know if I get laid off in the summer. It's always slow as fuck for commercial AV, but we bought a new building so I stayed and moved all the shit over during the summer. Next year will likely be totally dead.
