I still have not played this game. As more time passes, I am becoming increasingly less likely to check it out.

at this point i'm just looking forward to the inevitable Overwatch movie. the lore and waifus of this game is its true strength.

the only competitive games I can play anymore are fighters like Tekken and Street Fighter

Nothing will ever live up to those open beta months and the first few months of Overwatch's launch. That Wild West still burns somewhere in my heart, long live the open beta. It's been a slow painful decline into irrelevancy. Thanks for all the porn, I guess. If you didn't play the open beta or the first 6 months of launch, you never got to play the real Overwatch. It's so sad, the game really had potential and I was really excited for a story mode to eventually come out. Just stopped being fun after they tried to "balance" the game.

More game companies need to understand that true kino can only arise by making everyone overpowered, and just letting the "balance" arrive through metagame changes instead of harsh changes to the actual gameplay and matchmaking.



Also I stand by everything I said in this post. Except I still love running me some Halo from time to time in between all these sidesteps and Power Crushes.

Seriously the porn and fanart has been incredible. This game's legacy is truly in the porn. The actual time when the game was good can only be remembered by those people who played from the open beta and launch months. But the porn will always be good.
